Thierry Arnet
Since June 2010 I start to work with rare and endangered species living in the bogs, such as Saxifraga hirculus (Saxifragaceae, Rosales). The aim of research is to investigate the ecology, as well as the reasons of disappearing of this plant from European continent. For this purpose I make a comparative ecological analyses for its closely related species (bryophytes and vascular species) and several fiber and nitrogen measurements to define the proprieties of its substrate. Another task of my research is to investigate the presence of testate amoeba communities in the soil which are good bioindicatiors in paleoecological studies.
