Yangmin Qin

I am currently a lecturer in the Department of Geography, School of Earth Science, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Much of my research is focused on the reconstruction of past environmental variability using biological micro-organisms (testate amoebae, ostracodes, phytolith), and responses of fresh water ecosystems to environmental change.
For several years I have worked on assessing and monitoring climatic and human impacts on freshwater ecosystems (peatlands and lakes) in the regions including Alaska, the middle Yangtze River reach, and southern China.
